Loyal Death Eater Murdered
By Anton Nesbit
The Daily Prophet is sad to report that Amaryllis Lestrange Goyle, loyal Deatheater and professor of Charms at Hogwarts, passed away last night, she was 26.
Her body was found in the early hours of the morning after Hogwarts staff alerted the Ministry of Magic to her disappearance. Once it was ascertained that she was neither on school grounds nor had returned home, a search party was launched in the local area.
Aurors last night declined to release any details of her death, but it is believed that she suffered a serious head wound, and may have been attacked by an unknown assailant. Her wand was found nearby but there appeared to be no trace of an attacker. A statement was released by the auror department, saying that they were investigating it as “death by mysterious circumstances” and appealed for any witnesses to come forward. Mrs Lestrange Goyle’s husband, Ian, and their young son, were being comforted by relatives at the family home. A family member informed us that they are devastated at her death, and trust the Aurors will do their best to bring this to a swift conclusion. The family member also added “anyone that calls this an accident is a delusional fool, Amaryllis was not clumsy, this was murder, and the family will see that her killer pays”.
Professor Jason Dunmorus released the following statement from the Hogwarts grounds;
“On behalf of all the staff and students at Hogwarts I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Ian and the family at this time. Our Lord Voldemort is taking a personal interest in the investigation and will see that any perpetrators of this disgusting crime are brought to justice. Amaryllis was an inspiration to the next generation of Deatheaters, an excellent charms professor, and a mentor to many of our Castus students. The school will be observing a two week mourning period in her honour”.
Mrs Lestrange Goyle was born in London on 25th November 1955. She suffered many personal tragedies during her lifetime, the death of her mother when she was very young, followed by the mysterious death of her father, step-mother and half brother many years later. At Hogwarts she excelled in her studies, showing a particular talent for charms. She was a key figure in the glorious liberation of Hogwarts, and when the school re-opened accepted the position of Charms Professor, passing on her knowledge to the students of Castus house.
The Daily Prophet offers it’s condolences to her family, and offers a 10,000 galleon reward for information that will lead to a successful prosecution of her killer.
