 Blood House Descriptions
« Thread Started on Apr 13, 2006, 11:05am »

Sorting is different now. In fact there isn't any real particular way to sort. What how your character is in is determined by their blood status.

Castus Blood House, Pure Blood house: To be admitted into this house you must provide your family tree, validated by the Heritage College, showing your blood line extends to a minimum of 4 generations of magic borns. Students in this house may take any subjects that they wish for OWL and NEWT level exams.

Their common room is the old Slytherin dungeon, with silk-lined furnishings and other forms of luxury. The bathrooms have been converted so they are the same as the Prefects bathroom. There are bells in the common room and the dorm that lead to the kitchens, so a busy student need not walk down the Hall but may have their food delivered by house elf. When in the dining hall they eat from silver plates and drink from silver goblets, and have a wide range of courses and meals to choose from.

Dimidium Cruor, Half blood house:
To be in this house you must prove that one of your parents was born to a wizarding family. Students in this house are restricted in their course choices, but students who have shown extraordinary loyalty to the Deatheaters may apply to Lord Voldemort to take a particular course, this decision will be subject to an interview with Lord Voldemort himself.

The common room and dorms are located in the old Ravenclaw tower, a fire is lit in the grate three times a week, and if a student does well in a class he or she may choose their reward, either points for their house, or wood for the fire. The bathrooms are the same as they were before, as are the beds and furnishings. When in the dining hall they eat from ordinary china plates and drink from glass goblets, they have a small number of choices for meals.

Immunda Cruor, Muggle born house:
To be in this house you will be born to muggle parents, regardless of magical history in the family before now. Students in this house are only allowed to take passive courses that give them very little power, such as astronomy or arithmancy. They are required to take the History of Magic course, in order that they learn their place in society.

Their common room and dorms are in the old Hufflepuff House. There are very few furnishings and no luxuries, and yet an oddly cheerful spirit resides here. A student has brought a rug with them and used it to cover some of the bare flagstones, another has donated a vase in which someone occasionally puts a posy of flowers. A fire is lit in the grate once a week and it is up the students to find flammable material to keep it going. The bathrooms are very basic, there is very little hot water for a shower let alone a bath. When in the dining hall they eat from pewter plates and goblets, and there is no choice on the food.

ALL STUDENTS BE WARNED!
Those of you that are continuously disruptive, rowdy, rude to the purebloods or disloyal to the cause, will drop a house. Half bloods from notorious families may find themselves sorted into the muggle born house at the beginning of the school year. If you continue to be a nuisance when in the muggle born house, you will be expelled from Hogwarts and wizarding society and will find exactly how unpleasant life can be.
