The year is 1982 and Hogwarts is no longer under the control of the Ministry of Magic.
Late one fall night, a certain Slytherin student snuck through the dark halls of Hogwarts and helped a newly found group called the Death Eaters infiltrate the safest location in all of Europe. The Order, aware the Death Eaters planned to make a move, was prepared for the invasion. What they didn’t plan for was the large amount of their forces, and their indifferences when it came to the lives of the students.
Chaos erupted that night. Students hid under their beds, behind statues, and in mysterious corridors that showed up once in a while to escape the battle that had erupted in various locations of the school, killing students, teachers, Order members, and Death Eaters alike. But the battle didn’t end as all had hoped. The Order was pushed back and out of the school, forced to abandon the safe walls that had protected them as children.
The Death Eaters had taken over Hogwarts. Voldemort had taken over the Ministry of Magic, and proclaimed war on the Wizarding and Muggle worlds. His army was larger than anyone had predicted, and had no trouble taking over the England area. The worlds were plunged into darkness and for a year, returned to the Dark Ages.
When light shone upon the island and the rest of Europe once more it awoke in a place similar to Nazi Germany. Concentration Camps were established for muggle families with magical children, Breeding Camps created to ensure the purity of the Wizarding race, and another camp where many people do not return. But late at night passersby’s can hear the horrific screams floating on the cold air.
In 1980 Hogwarts opened its doors once again. It, like the rest of Europe, had changed. The quidditch pitch was in ruins, the courtyard only rubble, and the Forbidden Forest, which had kept its distance from the school, had moved forward by twelve feet. All the creatures had vanished from beneath its dark leaves, all except the spiders and other dark creatures. Month by month the forest moves a foot closer to the school.
The teachers, devoted to Dumbledore, and Dumbledore himself, who had devoted their lives to the students and the school had abandoned them. Replaced by Death Eaters. The houses vacant for so long, were covered in dust. Many of the portraits, empty. The school, silent.
In another surprising move the Death Eaters allowed all the students to return to Hogwarts and continue their studies. But things were just as different inside the school as they were out. Dormitories, forsaken, had gathered dust, webs, and all sorts of disgusting creatures feasting on what had been left behind that night long ago. With the reconstruction of the school, only three of the houses were reborn and changed. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw no longer existed. They were replaced with the Blood Houses: Castus House, Dimidium House, and the Immunda House.
Everything is different, everything is wrong. But there is a movement afoot. The Order is moving, and slowly moving the muggle families out of the camps and into safe houses. And, two muggle students have stumbled upon a map more important to the future of Europe more than they could have imagined.
((Please note- We know that some aspects of this are similar to Book 7, we did not get any of these ideas from Book 7. We were planning the board from February 2007, and it opened 2 days before Book 7 was released.))

Timeline:
March 30th, 1975: Easter Sunday, A distraction is created at the Ministry to pull Dumbledore and a few Aurors away from Hogwarts for a short time. In that time Snape unlocks the doors for the Death Eaters and begin wreaking havoc.
April - November, 1975: England is in a state of total Chaos.
November 1975: Voldemort and his army of giants, trolls, Dementors, Death Eaters, and other dark creatures declare victory. Voldemort declares himself Minister for Magic and appoints people to power.
1977: Death Eaters begin bickering amongst themselves, certain Full blood families should get not get key positions in the Ministry due to loyalty to Voldemort, and they declare war on one another.
July 20th, 1978: Pures and Full Bloods call a truce, neither having gained the upper hand in battles.
August 1st, 1978: Muggle Imprisonment camps are created to detain magical muggles and their muggle families. There are whispers of Breeding camps.
August 31st, 1978: Andromeda Tonks disappears.
December 2nd, 1978: Remus Lupin captured.
June 7th, 1979: Reconstruction plans for Hogwarts are presented to the Dark Lord.
